Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

About

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer with a focus on Dev Ops automation and Site Reliability Engineering.

Implementation & Development

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Bicep, Power Shell, and Azure-specific tools
• Create and maintain environments from development to production
• Implement cloud infrastructure components including VNET, App Services, Function Apps, APIM, & Traffic Manager
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines within Azure Dev Ops
• Automate routine tasks using Power Shell and Python scripting

Security & Compliance

• Implement zero-trust security models with least-privilege access, encryption, and threat protection
• Ensure compliance with security and governance policies
• Guide compliance efforts with industry standards (SOC 2, NIST)

Site Reliability Engineering

• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and New Relic
• Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets for critical services
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through capacity planning and performance tuning
• Build and maintain runbooks and automated remediation workflows for common operational scenarios

Support & Documentation

• Provide operational support and Priority 1 escalation
• Troubleshoot web-based SaaS platforms using cloud services
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture and procedures
• Support and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues

Qualifications

• 5 plus years of recent extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services
• 10 plus years of cloud infrastructure design/operating experience
• Experience with hands-on implementation and operational support
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code solutions
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security principles, and best practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Power Shell, Python) for automation
• Experience implementing monitoring solutions (App Insights, Azure Monitor, 3rd-party)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications for Microsoft Azure
• Experience working with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, App Insights, etc.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Compensation

The salary range for this role is 115k-124k. For corp-Corp rates please contact the recruiter.
