About

As an Azure Cloud Engineer at AMDAX, you are responsible for developing and maintaining an Azure infrastructure for mobile and web applications. When setting up and securing the infrastructure, it is important that it is future-proof and maintainable. This also benefits you, as you are responsible for solving problems and errors in the technology.

Therefore, you ensure that any bugs are quickly noticeable and easily fixable. The setup of monitoring also falls under your tasks. You provide advice on improvements and expansions of the infrastructure and architecture, which runs entirely in the cloud. When AMDAX hosts new applications in Azure, you ensure that they are properly implemented.

You are expected to constantly strive for increased security, efficiency, and automation. You are responsible for organizing and prioritizing your own work activities. Sometimes colleagues want to enlist your help while you have other priorities; it is important to indicate this clearly.

Together with the CTO and the Security Officer, you form the Security & Infrastructure team. This team is part of the IT department, which currently consists of eleven colleagues. Your direct supervisor is the Security Officer.

A number of clients have invested in a new type of cryptocurrency. The clients must be informed of an important development regarding this. How do you proceed?

An cloud infrastructure must be built for the launch of a new crypto project. Recently, a new crypto coin and token were launched that AMDAX has purchased for its clients. How do you approach this?

Taking into account the complexity of the crypto market and the challenges regarding security, you determine the approach, planning, and implementation together with the Security Officer and Infra Architect. When purchasing a new crypto coin or token, it is important to know that the storage must be hosted at AMDAX. Setting up and managing an infrastructure is necessary for this. It is also essential to find out how that technology may be used.

In this example, technical, logistical, and procedural measures are important for maintaining the correct security level, as multiple colleagues work on the execution. You will discover many things for the first time and have discussions about them. When you can no longer see the forest for the trees, you should not shy away from it.

You want to work with the right people on a solution and do so concretely by spending many hours behind a whiteboard. It could also be that you need the token supplier for relevant information.

You will focus on the Azure infrastructure, with security, backup & restore, and of course monitoring being important. You want to be able to guarantee the secure storage of the coins and tokens.

Profile

You have a minimum of HBO work and thinking level (demonstrable). Additionally, you have:

• Minimum 3 years of work experience with complex Microsoft Cloud environments and scripting, preferably Powershell;
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
• And you can work independently, are curious, and proactive.
