Azure Cloud Engineer

Introduction

Our client is looking for an Azure Cloud Engineer for a position in Sandton JHB.

The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices to support scalable and secure applications in the cloud environment.

Duties & Responsibilities • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. • Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager templates. • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. • Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes including Azure Kubernetes Service. • Monitor and optimize cloud performance using Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics. • Implement security best practices using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).

Desired Experience & Qualification • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. • Azure certifications such as: • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Experience with microservices architecture. • Experience with cloud cost optimization. • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager. • Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. • Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
