Azure Cloud Migration Engineer (35058)

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end VMware to Azure migrations (discovery assessment cutover validation)
• Perform wave-based migrations aligned to structured runbooks and delivery plans
• Operate Azure Migrate and Azure Site Recovery (or equivalent tools) for replication and failover
• Provision Azure resources within a pre-defined Landing Zone (ALZ) environment
• Configure VMs, managed disks, NSGs, route tables, and Private Endpoints
• Support Recovery Services Vaults and backup/recovery configurations
• Validate post-migration connectivity, DNS resolution, and application reachability
• Execute smoke testing and integration-level validation against acceptance criteria
• Identify and reconcile application and infrastructure dependencies
• Escalate complex dependencies requiring Pod Lead or client stakeholder input
• Prepare and execute change requests, cutover plans, and rollback procedures
• Work within formal change management and controlled deployment windows (ITIL)
• Contribute to migration runbooks and continuous improvement of delivery patterns
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep / Terraform) modules
• Build and enhance automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI)
• Participate in daily stand-ups, wave planning, and lessons learned sessions
• Troubleshoot networking and connectivity issues using Azure-native tools
• Work with VNets, subnets, NSGs, Private DNS, VPN, and ExpressRoute concepts
• Collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and network providers
• Communicate status updates, risks, and blockers clearly to leadership and stakeholders
