Azure DevOps Engineer

My client one for the largents telecoms companies in South Africa requires 2 Azure DevOps Engineers who will be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The reource be strong with DevOps foundation, with optional exposure to database administration to support reliable, secure and high-performing data platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Automate cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Manage and optimize Azure environments, including compute, networking, and storage services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Ensure strong security, compliance, and access controls across all environments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to enable faster, more reliable releases.
• Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system performance and reliability.
• Support high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
• Degree l Diploma in IT, Computer Science
• Hands on experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline design
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure Services
• Experience with Infrastructure as code and automation
• Proficiency in Scripting (PowerShell), Bash or Python)
• Understanding of DevOps best practices and release management
• Experience with source control (Git)
