Azure Integration Architect / Lead (Interac e-Transfer)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Architect / Lead with strong expertise in Interac e-Transfer implementations and API-driven microservices architecture. The role focuses on designing and delivering scalable, secure, and compliant payment integrations across digital banking ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current-state Interac e-Transfer implementations, including:
  • Existing design documents
  • API specifications
  • End-to-end payment flows across Digital Banking, Central 1, and Temenos T24
• Translate high-level architecture into detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) for Azure-based integration solutions aligned with microservices principles
• Lead end-to-end integration design, including:
  • Service decomposition and orchestration flows
  • Data mapping and transformation
  • Messaging standards (ISO 20022, ISO 8583)
  • Error handling and interface specifications
• Collaborate with:
  • Solution Architecture
  • Information Security & Compliance
  • Central 1 and business stakeholders
  • Development teams
• Provide technical leadership to development teams and guide implementation across:
  • Azure API Management (APIM)
  • Azure Functions
  • .NET / C-based services
• Ensure adherence to design standards, security, and regulatory requirements
• Support integration testing and end-to-end validation for robust and production-ready payment systems

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in:
  • Integration design
  • API development
  • Solution architecture
• Minimum 2+ years of Interac e-Transfer experience, including team leadership
• Strong expertise in:
  • Microservices architecture
  • API lifecycle management
  • Distributed system design
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure Integration Stack (APIM, Azure Functions)
  • .NET / C# development
• Solid understanding of:
  • Payment messaging standards (ISO 20022, ISO 8583)
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills

Nice to Have (Desirable Skills)

• Experience working with Core Banking systems (Temenos T24)
• Exposure to Central 1 integrations
• Banking or FinTech domain experience
