Your mission as our Back-end Developer Hero will be to:

• Comply with the company’s project plans and development standards.
• Manage, track and develop tasks using project management tools such as JIRA.
• Design, develop and maintain clean, efficient and reliable backend code.
• Perform unit and functional testing in a personal test environment prior to formal testing processes.
• Review and evaluate code written by other backend developers before testing phases.
• Deploy validated code to relevant environments, including testing and production.
• Recheck, debug and resolve issues for code that fails during the testing process.
• Identify and fix errors in running software to ensure system stability and performance.
• Actively participate in project-related meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
• Improve existing software and develop new solutions to enhance project efficiency.
• Follow technological trends and adapt relevant technologies to ongoing projects.
• Contribute to or establish scalable, optimised and high-performance software architecture.
• Take preventive actions to avoid recurring issues and mitigate potential future risks.
• Maintain and update legacy projects in accordance with company planning.
• Provide technical support for system integrations and data analysis.
• Take an active role in the use of data storage technologies and implement necessary data security precautions.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members.
• Document developed software components and required system areas.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and within given deadlines.

Your superpowers:

• Advanced level of verbal and written English.
• Strong experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and relational database systems.
• Solid understanding of common Git workflows and version control practices.
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with PHPUnit and unit testing practices.
• Experience in designing, developing and integrating API-based systems.
• Familiarity with modern server components and tools such as Redis, RabbitMQ and Docker.
• Knowledge of server-to-server communication protocols (TCP, WebSocket, HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2).
• Strong understanding of RESTful architecture principles.
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment using tools like JIRA and Git.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch and query optimisation.
• Open to learning and adapting to new technologies based on evolving project requirements.
