Your mission as our Back-end Developer Hero will be to:
- Comply with the company’s project plans and development standards.
- Manage, track and develop tasks using project management tools such as JIRA.
- Design, develop and maintain clean, efficient and reliable backend code.
- Perform unit and functional testing in a personal test environment prior to formal testing processes.
- Review and evaluate code written by other backend developers before testing phases.
- Deploy validated code to relevant environments, including testing and production.
- Recheck, debug and resolve issues for code that fails during the testing process.
- Identify and fix errors in running software to ensure system stability and performance.
- Actively participate in project-related meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
- Improve existing software and develop new solutions to enhance project efficiency.
- Follow technological trends and adapt relevant technologies to ongoing projects.
- Contribute to or establish scalable, optimised and high-performance software architecture.
- Take preventive actions to avoid recurring issues and mitigate potential future risks.
- Maintain and update legacy projects in accordance with company planning.
- Provide technical support for system integrations and data analysis.
- Take an active role in the use of data storage technologies and implement necessary data security precautions.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices with team members.
- Document developed software components and required system areas.
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and within given deadlines.
Your superpowers:
- Advanced level of verbal and written English.
- Strong experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and relational database systems.
- Solid understanding of common Git workflows and version control practices.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- Experience with PHPUnit and unit testing practices.
- Experience in designing, developing and integrating API-based systems.
- Familiarity with modern server components and tools such as Redis, RabbitMQ and Docker.
- Knowledge of server-to-server communication protocols (TCP, WebSocket, HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2).
- Strong understanding of RESTful architecture principles.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment using tools like JIRA and Git.
- Knowledge of Elasticsearch and query optimisation.
- Open to learning and adapting to new technologies based on evolving project requirements.
