About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Backend Developer with working knowledge of frontend development to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable server-side applications while also supporting frontend integration when necessary.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clean coding practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development (Primary Focus) • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. • Build secure and high-performance server-side logic. • Develop and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL). • Integrate third-party services and APIs. • Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security. • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Frontend Support (Secondary Focus) • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. • Make minor UI updates and improvements when required. • Ensure responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. • Work with modern frontend frameworks when necessary.

Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years experience in backend development. • Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as: • Node.js • Python • PHP • Java • Experience with frameworks such as: • Express.js • Django • Laravel • Spring Boot • Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and API integrations. • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB). • Basic to intermediate knowledge of frontend technologies: • HTML5 • CSS3 • JavaScript • React or Vue (added advantage)

Pay: ₦350,000.00 - ₦400,000.00 per month
