Your Role
For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for an IT professional as: Backend Data Engineer (f/m/d)
As a Backend Data Engineer at Hyundai AutoEver, you will be a vital member of our Connected Car IT team. Your primary responsibility will be the operation of Connected Car backend in-house applications. You will support Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis Connected Car services by developing, enhancing, and maintaining vehicle data handling with a strong focus on the customer perspective.
Responsibilities
- Operation of Connected Car backend in-house applications
- Support Hyundai, KIA, and Genesis Connected Car services by developing, enhancing, and maintaining vehicle data handling with a strong focus on the customer perspective
- Providing, developing, enhancing and maintaining Connected car backend applications/database
- Developing interfaces between applications to ensure reliable delivery of vehicle data from the backend cloud
- Collaborating closely with both offshore and onsite operations teams across multiple technical disciplines
- Troubleshooting customer issues reported by service teams through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of vehicle data and reporting, as well as experience in modification, testing, and end-to-end processes using technical skills such as APIs, queries, and scripting
- Strong understanding of Automotive vehicle data management & data pipeline interface between cloud & IoT device
- Data extraction and reporting from multiple data sources (Kafka, databases, APIs, CSV, Elasticsearch, batch and real-time systems)
- SQL, Python, Java
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau and SAP BI
- Data pipeline development and orchestration using Apache Airflow and Kafka
- Basic Linux operating system knowledge
- Understanding of IT security concepts and best practices
- Strong English language skills (spoken and written)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a comparable field
