About

You will develop the backend architecture of a startup’s app and ensure that all data flows are stable, secure, and scalable. You will work on topics such as OCR processing, classification, and data modeling for documents and user contexts. In addition, you will build logic for features like search, AI -driven recommendations, and content delivery. The goal is to create a robust backend that serves as the central intelligence of a fast -growing product.

You will work in a modern development setup with strong use of AI -assisted tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, Cursor) to maximize development speed and efficiency. It is important that you not only use AI tools, but also critically evaluate and refine the generated code to ensure a clean and production -ready architecture.

Your Profile

• MSc in Computer Science, Data Science or Statistics
• Experience in backend development (e.g. Node.js, Python, Java, or similar)
• Experience with REST API design and implementation
• Strong understanding of data modeling
• Experience with cloud services / storage solutions
• Experience with authentication & security (tokens, APIs, user management)
• Confident use of AI -assisted / “vibe coding” tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot, Cursor)
• Ability to structure, validate, and productionize AI -generated code
• Bonus: Experience with OCR, AI/ML, or LLM integration

• Workload: Minimum 40%, flexible upwards
• Duration: Flexible, approx. 3 months at 100%
• Location: Primarily remote, occasional on -site presence is a plus
• Salary: 40+ CHF/hour
