Role Overview

We are looking for a Backend Developer to help build the core systems that power Jexpay.

This role involves working on real financial systems including transaction processing, wallet infrastructure, and third-party integrations. You will take ownership of backend components and contribute directly to building a secure and scalable product.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems and APIs
• Implement transaction processing logic (deposits, confirmations, balance updates)
• Build and manage wallet-related systems
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Handle webhook processing and event-driven systems
• Implement sweeping logic (moving funds from user wallets to a central wallet)
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and data integrity
• Debug and resolve backend issues
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams

Requirements

• Solid understanding of backend development (Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Experience or strong interest in fintech, payments, or crypto systems
• Experience working with APIs and backend architecture
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Important (Core Requirement)

• Experience building or working with wallet systems using providers like Tatum or similar
• Understanding of blockchain transaction flows (deposits, confirmations, transfers)
• Experience handling webhooks and asynchronous event processing
• Experience implementing or understanding wallet sweeping and gas management

Nice to Have

• Experience working on financial or transaction-based systems
• Understanding of crypto/blockchain concepts
• Experience with real-time or event-driven systems
• Familiarity with security best practices for financial applications
