About the Role
As a Backend Developer, you will join the IDP (Industry Data Platform) Team within TecDoc Management Solutions. The IDP Team (6 of ~40 department members) develops and operates cloud‑based platforms for secure, efficient data exchange between industry and trade partners. You’ll help build the next‑generation catalog data platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and key features while collaborating with passionate specialists from catalog and product management teams .
You’ll be reporting directly to VP Data Solutions Jürgen Weiland .

Responsibilities
These are your tasks in a nutshell
- Develop and enhance AWS services (e.g., OpenSearch, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway) to power our cloud‑based platform.
- Design and implement innovative features for our distribution system using AWS Glue and Athena.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that scales with our platform.
- Test, debug, and deliver high‑quality software that meets performance and reliability standards.
- Drive continuous improvement of our software development processes and best practices.
- Collaborate in code reviews to ensure top‑notch code quality and team knowledge sharing.
- Quickly identify and resolve software issues , keeping our platform stable and performant
Qualifications
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or similar education
- Profound experience in AWS development, especially with Java, TypeScript, Serverless, or AWS SAM.
- Experience with database technologies especially OpenSearch, DynamoDB and Redis.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and testing strategies.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
- Hands‑on experience with Scrum techniques and artifacts (definition of done, user stories, backlog refinement, etc.).
- Fluent in English (any additional language is a plus).
