In a fast-paced, fully remote environment with significant customer growth, we are looking for passionate developers to join our team. In this role as Backend Developer, you will be instrumental in the further development of our core platform. You will take responsibility for new features from the conception phase to deployment, tackle complex challenges in platform scalability, and ensure speed and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot 3 on the Google Cloud Platform.
• Responsible for the entire development cycle of new platform features.
• Clarify technical requirements with product and support teams.
• Test and implement solutions.
• Optimize production environments to ensure platform reliability.
• Actively participate in code reviews to foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficient in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Experience with AI Coding Tools and willingness to drive AI usage in the development process.
• Structured thinking, ability to break down complex problems, and clarify requirements with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep experience in designing and using Shopify GraphQL APIs, including complex third-party integrations.
• Practical experience in developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, able to find the root cause of a problem in unclear situations.
• Teamwork and clear communication are a given.
• Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines, and agile practices.
