Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) in the EU for a project supporting and enhancing a mobile app with Azure backend, improving functionality, performance, and reliability. The customer is a global company specializing in the development of consumer diagnostic solutions with a focus on personal health and well‑being. It combines scientific research, engineering, and user‑centered design to create accurate and easy‑to‑use products for home use. The company operates internationally and continuously invests in innovation and quality to help individuals make informed health decisions.
The project is focused on supporting and enhancing an existing mobile application built with .NET MAUI and integrated with a Microsoft Azure backend. It includes further development, maintenance, and improvement of application functionality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Extending existing functionality for pregnancy‑related user journeys.
- Adapting app behavior based on sensitive contexts (e.g., suppressing irrelevant test‑related content).
- Enabling users to capture and store photos of test results (pregnancy/ovulation).
- Providing history management (archiving, sorting, matching over time).
Must-haves
- Experience in backend development for 3+ years.
- Strong hands‑on experience with .NET MAUI.
- Solid knowledge of C# / .NET (preferably .NET 6/7/8).
- Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of mobile app architecture (MVVM, modular apps).
- Experience with Azure‑based backends (App Services, Functions, APIs, etc.).
- Experience with data handling, storage, and synchronization.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with healthcare / regulated domains.
- Experience working with photo/media handling in mobile apps.
- Familiarity with privacy‑sensitive features and UX logic.
- Previous experience in modular or scalable mobile systems.
