About the Role

Now that we're done with the company part, let's get to the point: We need your support! We are looking for a Backend Developer to strengthen our Marketplaces division. Together with the team, you will work on one of the largest real estate platforms in Switzerland, which is used daily by thousands of users.

In this role, you will develop scalable backend services, build APIs, and help evolve our architecture towards a modern cloud-native platform based on Azure and Kubernetes. You will also participate in migrating existing applications from our legacy .NET Framework stack to a modern, container-based environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services with .NET Core / ASP.NET
• Development and operation of REST APIs and microservices
• Working with SQL Servers and Azure Cosmos DB to manage application data
• Improving search functionality with Elasticsearch
• Deployment and operation of applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ensuring high standards in terms of performance, scalability, security, and reliability
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues
• Collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to implement high-quality solutions
• Participation in modernizing our platform architecture and redeveloping existing backend applications based on modern .NET 10

Qualifications

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable practical experience
• At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development
• Very good knowledge of C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (ideally Azure)
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience in agile teams
• Very good English skills
• Experience with vector databases
• Knowledge in Elasticsearch ranking and search optimization
• Experience with Event-driven Architectures
• Experience in building data ingestion pipelines
