The ads team owns the product surfaces that drive growth for businesses on Whop. As an ads pixel engineer, you will own the pipelines that ship every purchase, signup, and conversion on Whop - reliably, accurately, and in real time - to the business owners, CRMs, and ad networks they work with. Better signal means better ads, lower CAC, and more revenue for every business on Whop.

What you'll do

  • Own and scale the event pipeline that fans out Whop's first-party conversion data to every ad platform and CRM we integrate with
  • Ship new destinations end to end - auth, schema mapping, identity matching, deduplication, retries, and backfill
  • Push match rates higher on every destination through better identity resolution, hashing, and normalization
  • Deepen observability so we can answer "did this event land, get matched, and get attributed?" for any conversion, on any destination
  • Work closely with the ad networks team to close the loop between ad spend and outcomes

What you need

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a software development role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect information
  • Curiosity and drive to continuously seek ways to make the product better
  • Ability to ship fast, reliable software with a high attention to detail
  • Experience building high-throughput backend systems and event pipelines
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice to have

  • Startup experience or experience as a technical founder
  • You've shipped a CAPI, server-side tagging, or conversion API integration before (Meta, TikTok, Google, Snap, Reddit, etc.)
  • Familiar with CRM APIs — HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Klaviyo, Salesforce, or similar
  • Comfortable thinking about attribution, match rates, deduplication, and identity resolution
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, and high-volume queueing systems
