Backend Engineer

About

We are looking for a skilled backend/API engineer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance data delivery APIs for a regulated healthcare/compliance platform.

Required Skills

• ✔ Strong expertise in Python & FastAPI (or similar frameworks)
• ✔ Experience in building REST APIs (async & sync)
• ✔ Hands‑on with OAuth, RBAC, token‑based authentication & API security
• ✔ Experience with API Gateway & enterprise integration patterns
• ✔ Strong knowledge of microservices & containerization (Docker/K8s)
• ✔ Experience integrating with Snowflake & AWS S3
• ✔ Knowledge of batch data delivery (SFTP/ECG or similar)
• ✔ Strong in logging, monitoring, observability & error handling
• ✔ Experience in performance tuning & scalable system design
• ✔ Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows & production deployments
• ✔ Exposure to regulated environments (Healthcare / Compliance) preferred

Key Responsibilities

• ✔ Design & develop FastAPI‑based REST APIs (async, batch & real-time)
• ✔ Build secure data access services with authentication & authorization
• ✔ Integrate APIs with API Gateway & enterprise security systems
• ✔ Implement batch extraction workflows & real‑time data APIs
• ✔ Work with Snowflake & S3 for data access & delivery
• ✔ Ensure audit logging, compliance & observability
• ✔ Handle error management, retries & performance optimization
• ✔ Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, QA & stakeholders
• ✔ Support SIT, UAT & production deployments
