Backend Engineer

About

In this role you will help build and operate the ODIN backend, a core hub for account management, product catalog, and authentication. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, deploy, and support production‑grade software that scales. The position offers ownership across the full development lifecycle in a fast‑paced, startup‑like team environment. Responsibilities

• Contribute to ideation, design, implementation, deployment, and issue resolution for the ODIN backend
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Security and Operations
• Develop production‑grade software using the ODIN tech stack and ensure high performance and scalability
• Participate in continuous delivery, automated testing, and issue resolution
• Work in an end‑to‑end product development lifecycle with a strong ownership culture

Requirements

• 8+ years Java coding experience in full‑stack production applications
• Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL including schema design, queries, and performance
• Experience with Java testing and test automation
• Deployment automation and CI/CD experience (Jenkins)
• Unix/Linux environment proficiency
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Self‑starter with initiative and direction
