Job Purpose

As a developer in the Calculations team, the primary focus is the design, maintenance and development of the various backend calculation services pertaining to legislative compliance, payroll, and HR, with a strong focus on performance optimization, throughput, and accuracy.

This involves general coding, innovative design and unit testing of the various elements that make up the PaySpace calculation services. Additionally, as a senior developer, you will bring your exceptionally strong technical understanding of how systems are built to the table.

Responsibilities

• Be a part of a truly cross‑functional team; Frontend, Back‑End and Full‑Stack Engineers, Product Teams, Designers and QA’s.
• Participate in product planning (From discovery all the way to deployment); We want your input at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle!
• Collaborate! Our teams work together to develop robust new features, API’s, continuously improve our industry‑leading products and find and fix any bugs at speed.
• Ensure our customers receive a white‑glove experience with our products!
• Keep Information Security, Customer Excellence, Self‑Development and Cost Savings at top of mind!
• Learn and be adaptable to new ways of working

Required Skills & Experience

• Expert knowledge of the latest versions of C#/.NET, .NET Core
• Expert when it comes to applying SOLID Principles
• Database guru – you know the ins and outs of MS‑SQL
• Firm understanding of Azure DevOps (If you’re a fast learner, knowledge of something similar would be suitable, too!)
• Ability to create RESTful API’s with ease
• Experience with Dapper or a similar ORM
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer
