About the role

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr • Responsible for supporting battery quality assurance, validation, and testing activities related to Battery Management System firmware and battery technologies. • The role involves executing electrical and battery cycler tests, developing automated test solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, analyzing validation data, and ensuring high-quality testing standards within dynamic engineering environments.

Requirement/Must Have: • Experience with Battery Management System firmware including both QA and development. • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, for test automation. • Experience using battery testers, source meters, multimeters, and related test equipment. • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to clearly communicate design issues and resolution strategies. • Ability to work independently in high-pressure and dynamic environments. • Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Experience: • Experience in hardware and firmware verification and validation preferred. • Experience executing electrical and battery cycler tests. • Experience analyzing test data and supporting validation activities. • Experience troubleshooting test equipment and sample issues.

Responsibilities: • Work with technicians and test engineers to execute electrical and battery cycler tests. • Generate KPI metrics for daily laboratory activities. • Review BMU schematics and layouts to verify conformance and testability. • Conduct investigations and prepare technical reports. • Co-develop testing procedures and analyze validation data. • Run complex test setups and design of experiments using high-accuracy test equipment. • Troubleshoot equipment and sample-related issues. • Maintain and resolve test equipment problems as needed. • Ensure collected test data meets high-quality standards. • Use measurement equipment to test batteries and cells.

Should Have: • Knowledge of Li-Ion chemistries and cell modeling. • Experience in industrial hardware and firmware validation environments.
