BI Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer in Business Intelligence, you’ll be the architect behind scalable, secure data systems that power real-time insights across the logistics value chain. From building high-performance ELT pipelines and integrating complex platforms to delivering clean, trusted datasets, you’ll enable automation, cost optimisation, and smarter decision-making. This role is all about turning raw data into a strategic asset—driving innovation, efficiency, and collaboration with BI and Data Science teams. Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain ELT pipelines ensuring reliability and performance

• Integrate data across WMS, TMS, ERP and IoT platforms

• Manage data lake and data warehouse environments

• Deliver clean, structured and validated datasets

• Collaborate with BI and Data Science teams

• Maintain documentation and data catalogues

• Support security, compliance and access controls

• Automate operational data processes

• Perform issue analysis and root cause investigations

• Optimise advanced SQL development and reusable pipelines

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

• 3–5 years' experience in data engineering (logistics/supply chain advantageous)

• Relevant cloud and data engineering certifications (Azure, AWS, and GCP)

• Strong experience in BI or analytics tooling (SQL, Power BI, and Tableau)

• ELT/ETL pipeline development (ADF, Airflow, and SSIS)

• Advanced SQL development and optimisation

• Python or similar scripting language

• Cloud-based data platforms

• Data modelling, warehousing and schema design
