The TERRAS Group is further expanding its data-driven management. For this, we are looking for someone who combines BI, Analytics, and business understanding: You will work closely with our IT Lead to develop concrete reporting, analytics, and AI use cases from operational questions of the holding company and its subsidiaries. Your focus is not only on data models or dashboards, but on ensuring that BI is actually used in the daily work of the specialist departments.

Your Role

You are the bridge between our specialist departments and the data platform. Together with the AI & BI Manager, you form the core team for Data and Analytics at TERRAS. You actively talk to the departments of our subsidiaries, identify potential, and translate business requirements into dashboards, reports, and data-based solutions. You work closely with our external partners – you manage and shape, rather than just deliver.

Your first project: Together with our data engineering partner Gemma Analytics, you will build regional market volume dashboards based on thousands of public tenders – market intelligence for management and our investors.

What awaits you

Data Platform & Engineering

• Building and maintaining data pipelines and data models in Snowflake (ELT with Airflow)
• Conception of the first TU data connection: Integrating financial and project data from the subsidiaries' ERP systems (BRZ, RIB iTwo, BPS, Sage) into Snowflake
• Data quality assurance, documentation of data flows, and building a data governance framework

BI & Analysis

• Conception and implementation of dashboards and KPI reporting in Power BI / Loyos for management, investors, and subsidiaries
• Ad-hoc analyses and data-based recommendations for management and specialist departments
• Market intelligence: Regional market volume dashboards based on tender data (collaboration with Gemma Analytics)

Stakeholders & Partners

• Close exchange with specialist departments of the 20+ subsidiaries to identify data requirements and use cases
• Management of external partners (Gemma Analytics, CommaSoft) for data engineering and software projects
• Presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders and management
• Occasional on-site visits to subsidiaries

What you bring

Must-haves

• Completed degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a comparable field
• 2–5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, BI, or Analytics
• Very good knowledge of Python and SQL
• Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
• Experience in building data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and data modeling
• Experience with at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, Metabase, Looker, etc.)
• Strong communication skills – you can explain technical concepts understandably to non-technical people
• Proactivity and hands-on mentality: You identify use cases yourself, drive them forward, and implement them
• Very good German and good English skills

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Power BI (our primary visualization tool)
• Knowledge of Apache Airflow, dbt, or comparable orchestration/transformation tools
• Experience in managing external service providers or development partners
• Knowledge of machine learning or statistical modeling
• Industry knowledge in the construction or real estate sector
• Experience with LLMs and AI tools in daily work
