Responsibilities

• Setup, operation, and ongoing development of the data analysis platform for Bell International using Microsoft technologies
• Planning and implementation of a common data warehouse solution with data lake, data warehouse, and analysis layer
• Structuring and modeling of data in clear star and snowflake models
• Understanding business requirements and translating them into simple, scalable data models
• Development and support of SQL Server Analysis Services and Power BI data models
• Creation and maintenance of Power BI reports, dashboards, and Excel connections
• Setup of self-service BI solutions for business units domestically and abroad
• Ensuring data quality, performance, security, and clear rules (governance)
• Close collaboration with business departments to better utilize data for decision-making
• Training and support of users with varying levels of expertise
• Participation in agile work methods such as Kanban or Scrum

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering, ideally in an international industrial environment
• Good practical experience with the Microsoft BI and Data platform, especially SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, as well as Azure services like Azure Synapse Analytics and Data Lake
• Very good knowledge of SQL and working with DAX
• Experience in building and operating data models and company-wide data architectures
• Good understanding of the entire data process – from the data source to the finished report
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Enjoyment of collaboration with business departments and various teams
• Good communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics simply
• Willingness to travel occasionally to international locations of Bell International
• Interest and openness to new technologies, modern data architectures, and proven methods
