Your Daily Life

The Microwave & Imaging Sub-Systems (MIS) activity benefits from 70 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of imaging, radio frequency, and microwave sub-systems for professional applications in defense, space, industry, science, and medicine.

MIS is divided into several poles and Delivery Units, including the "SPACE" Pole and Delivery Unit, responsible for the development and production of Traveling Wave Tubes (TWTs) for amplifying RF signals from satellite payload antennas (broadcast, data), scientific or defense.

Your Profile

  • Engineering or PhD degree, or equivalent, in analog and digital electronics, or even mechanics/materials, preferably in radio frequencies, with at least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Your initial professional experiences allowed you to design radio frequency and microwave electronic products. You validated products by testing (IVV) in the lab and performed debugging.
  • You subsequently gained at least 5 years of experience in managing projects and bids (quotations) as well as associated processes. You have notably led teams of PhDs, engineers, and technicians, subcontractors (engineering, production) to design, validate, and manufacture new electronic products. Management of associated budgets, risks, and opportunities is common practice for you. You have validated and maintain a project management certification.
  • You also have a good knowledge of the industrial environment (tools, production, subcontractor management), of state clients in the space sector (CNES, ESA), and of the research environment (university laboratories, Thales TRT, ...).
  • Reactive and methodical, you demonstrate analytical and synthetic thinking? You are autonomous and know how to make decisions? You are a good communicator? You have team spirit? You have interpersonal skills and availability that allow you to be comfortable in transverse management?
  • Your English is fluent; knowledge of German would be a plus.

Your Daily Life

Within the department, you will be the Bid & Program Manager.

Your missions will be to:

  • Define and manage the development projects for Traveling Wave Tube RF amplifiers, integrating new technologies, maintaining coordination between the Vélizy and Ulm (Germany) sites. You will pay particular attention to meeting commitments and ensuring overall customer and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Define and manage the IVV resources required to validate the qualification of new products.
  • Manage customer relations, contractual and legal obligations, and any disputes.
  • Prepare bids for ongoing program evolution requests in coordination with sales.
  • Conduct project reporting meetings and phase reviews.
  • Manage the contract to continuously adapt it to evolving customer needs and company strategy.
  • Be a proactive force on topics related to business practices and development processes within projects and bids.

You will work in close collaboration with the technical, industrial, quality, purchasing, and sales teams to ensure the smooth running of the project.

Travel in France and abroad is expected, depending on the projects managed:

  • To our clients, mainly in France and Europe
  • To our suppliers, mainly in France and Europe
  • To the AVS MIS site in Ulm (Germany)
