Our professional services client is seeking a Senior Software Architect to design and implement a CMDB using Jira Insights within an AWS environment. Role focused on CMDB solution design, system integration, and ITSM management with deep expertise in Jira, Jira Service Management, and AWS.

Initially a 6-month contract. 35 hours per week.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software architecture experience with understanding of microservices on AWS
  • Strong Jira and Jira Service Management (JSM) expertise including advanced configuration and workflows
  • Hands-on Jira Insights expertise to model, configure, and automate a CMDB
  • Strong API integration and automation experience using Groovy and Python
  • Knowledge of ITIL / ITSM best practices supporting incident, change, and CI lifecycle processes

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ITSM tools or AWS integration platforms
  • Data migration experience (third-party or CSV sources into Jira Insights)
  • Knowledge of Linux, Windows, networking, and virtualization
  • Understanding of IT data security and governance (Law 25 compliance)
  • Experience with Backstage, Enterprise Architect, or relational / NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

  • Design CMDB data models and configuration relationships
  • Configure Jira Insights schemas and object relationships
  • Implement API integrations between Jira and external ITSM/cloud tools
  • Automate CI data imports and synchronization tasks
  • Ensure CMDB data integrity, version control, and security compliance
  • Align CMDB design with ITIL workflows for incident/change tracking
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and security teams
