About the role

Key Responsibilities:

The Technical Writer will require a comprehensive knowledge of Canadian, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and other allied A&E. The Technical Writer will be required to create and review English technical documentation, as well as modify and verify French transcripts of technical documents for subsequent approval.

What you must bring to this role:

  • Must have a valid Secret-level clearance with the Government of Canada
  • Must be fluently bilingual in French and English
  • Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of experience, within the last one-hundred-and-twenty (120) months, preparing and/or updating Ammunition & Explosives (A&E) technical orders or other A&E specific technical documentation.
  • Must have a minimum of twenty-four (24) months of experience, within the last one-hundred-and-twenty (120) months, reviewing, modifying, and/or validating translations of A&E technical orders and/or other A&E technical documentation involving English and French.
  • Should have one of the following certificates/qualifications related to the field of Ammunition and Explosives:
    • Ammunition Technical Officer (ATO) (AEXN)
    • Ammo Engineer (AEXO)
    • Rank Qualification (RQ) / Qualification Level (QL) 6 Ammunition Technician
    • Ammunition Life Cycle Materiel Manager (LCMM)
