We want to fill the following position:
Your Responsibilities
- You independently process microbiological primary cultures.
- You perform manual and automated pathogen identifications.
- You are responsible for setting up and evaluating antibiograms, as well as preparing and assessing special stains (Gram, Ziehl-Neelsen).
- You perform molecular biological and serological diagnostics.
- You are responsible for the creation and execution of quality assurance measures and assist in the design and optimization of workflows.
- You are responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and troubleshooting of analysis equipment.
Your Profile
- You have completed training as a Biomedical Analyst and are registered in the Health Professions Register.
- You have a careful, precise, and reliable way of working and a high degree of responsibility.
- You are a team player, socially competent, and willing to cooperate.
- You are resilient and flexible.
- You have a high degree of willingness to learn.
- You enjoy and are interested in working in the healthcare sector.
Additionally, for applicants who are not yet employed by the City of Vienna:
- You have excellent German language skills.
Upon hiring, proof of immunity (vaccination status) for various vaccinations is required. The Vienna Health Network does not cover any costs incurred for providing proof of immunity.

For employees already employed by the City of Vienna, the remuneration for the advertised position is determined by the job and function evaluation and the corresponding classification in the respective salary system.
For new employees, the starting salary according to the Vienna Civil Servants Act for this position is € 1983 gross per month. Previous relevant or equivalent work experience may result in a higher salary.
