Blockchain Security Analyst

Our client requires a vigilant Blockchain Security Analyst to join their team, contributing to the integrity and safety of their decentralized systems. This **Hybrid** role is based in our **Kaduna, Kaduna, NG** office, offering a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, conducting security audits, and developing mitigation strategies for blockchain-based platforms and smart contracts. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptography, and common security threats within the crypto space. You will play a critical role in safeguarding digital assets and ensuring the trust and reliability of our blockchain solutions. Your work will involve continuous monitoring, threat intelligence gathering, and incident response planning. This position demands a meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive security assessments and penetration testing of blockchain networks, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps). Identify and analyze potential security vulnerabilities, risks, and threats within blockchain ecosystems. Develop and implement robust security protocols and best practices for blockchain operations. Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activities, anomalies, and potential security breaches. Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation actions. Stay current with the latest security threats, trends, and emerging technologies in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). Create detailed security reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended solutions. Contribute to the development of incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies. Educate internal teams on blockchain security best practices and emerging threats. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Security Analyst, Cybersecurity Specialist, or similar role, with a focus on blockchain technology. In-depth knowledge of blockchain principles, cryptography, and common attack vectors. Experience with smart contract auditing and security analysis tools. Familiarity with various blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, Solana). Strong understanding of network security, data security, and risk management principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for security automation is a plus. Strong communication and reporting skills. Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or blockchain security are highly desirable. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. This role involves regular presence in our **Kaduna, Kaduna, NG** office, with the option for remote work on certain days.
