Blockchain Solutions Architect - Smart Contracts & DeFi

Our client is seeking a visionary Blockchain Solutions Architect to design and guide the development of innovative blockchain solutions, with a strong emphasis on smart contracts and decentralized finance (DeFi). This is a hybrid role, offering a blend of collaborative work at our office in Asaba, Delta, NG and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient blockchain architectures. Your responsibilities will include evaluating different blockchain platforms, protocols, and consensus mechanisms, and recommending the most suitable technologies for specific use cases. You will lead the architectural design of smart contracts, ensuring their robustness, security, and efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including lending protocols, decentralized exchanges, stablecoins, and tokenization. You will collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps, establish best practices, and ensure successful implementation of blockchain solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect complex systems and anticipate potential challenges. Experience with smart contract development languages (e.g., Solidity, Rust), blockchain frameworks, and security auditing practices is essential. You will also be responsible for staying ahead of the curve on emerging blockchain trends and technologies, and advising the organization on strategic blockchain initiatives. This role is crucial for driving our company's innovation in the rapidly evolving Web3 space.

Key Responsibilities: Design end-to-end blockchain solutions, focusing on smart contracts and DeFi applications. Evaluate and recommend appropriate blockchain platforms, protocols, and technologies. Architect secure, scalable, and efficient smart contract systems. Collaborate with development teams to oversee the implementation of blockchain architectures. Define technical roadmaps and development standards for blockchain projects. Conduct architectural reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams. Assess and mitigate security risks associated with blockchain solutions. Stay abreast of emerging blockchain technologies, trends, and DeFi innovations. Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to the strategic vision for blockchain adoption within the organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in software architecture or solutions design, with at least 3 years focused on blockchain technology. In-depth knowledge of blockchain architectures, consensus mechanisms, and smart contract development (Solidity, Rust). Strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, including key protocols and concepts. Experience with blockchain development frameworks and tools. Familiarity with smart contract security best practices and auditing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Experience in leading architectural design for complex projects.
