BMS Manager

About the Role

Our client is a leading Tier 1 international engineering and construction contractor specialising in data centre, pharmaceutical, and mission-critical projects across Europe. They are seeking an experienced BMS Manager to take full ownership of the Building Management System package on a large-scale data centre project in Frankfurt. The BMS Manager will manage the complete BMS/EPMS package lifecycle — from design coordination and subcontractor management through commissioning, integrated system testing (IST), and client handover — ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and electrical systems throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Full ownership of BMS/EPMS package from design review through L1–L5 commissioning and handover
• Manage BMS subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist vendors on site
• Review and coordinate BMS/PMS design documentation for buildability and programme alignment
• Ensure full integration of BMS with mechanical and electrical systems
• Manage technical queries (RFIs), design coordination, and stakeholder communication
• Oversee QA/QC processes, on-site inspections, and commissioning activities
• Track project programme milestones, progress reporting, and risk management
• Lead all commissioning stages including integrated system testing (IST) and final client handover

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering BMS, controls, or building automation packages on large construction projects
• Background in Building Services, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC and MEP systems operation and integration
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams on site
• Data centre, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical construction experience preferred
• Site-based availability required (5 days per week)
• English fluency required; German language advantageous

Package

• Salary: €80,000 – €95,000
• 12% car allowance or company car
• Single accommodation provided or accommodation allowance
• €3,600 net yearly allowance
• GmbH contract
• Location: Frankfurt, Germany (full site-based)
