An opportunity exists for an experienced and dependable Boiler House Coordinator to oversee the efficient and safe operation of coal‑fired chain grate boilers, biomass boilers, and associated equipment. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proactive approach to maintenance and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
• 5–8 years’ experience in a similar role within an industrial environment
• Proven experience operating and maintaining coal‑fired chain grate boilers (above 20 bar)
• Experience with biomass boilers (advantageous)
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership and team supervision experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of coal‑fired chain grate boilers and biomass boilers
• Monitor boiler performance and optimise operational efficiency
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, and breakdown response
• Oversee pressure vessel preparation and testing
• Supervise and lead boiler house staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and disciplinary procedures
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and relevant legislation
• Maintain high standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance
• Assist in other operational areas as required by management
• Ensure effective time management and productivity within the team
