About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records up to trial balance
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Capture and reconcile bank transactions
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial reports
  • Manage invoicing, supplier payments, and customer accounts
  • Process payroll and related statutory submissions where required
  • Assist with VAT calculations and submissions
  • Maintain general ledger accounts
  • Prepare documentation for auditors and accountants
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Support management with ad hoc financial administration tasks

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
  • Experience working on accounting software such as:
    • Sage
    • Xero
    • QuickBooks
    • Pastel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
