About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records up to trial balance
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Capture and reconcile bank transactions
- Prepare monthly reconciliations and financial reports
- Manage invoicing, supplier payments, and customer accounts
- Process payroll and related statutory submissions where required
- Assist with VAT calculations and submissions
- Maintain general ledger accounts
- Prepare documentation for auditors and accountants
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Support management with ad hoc financial administration tasks
Requirements
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Experience working on accounting software such as:
- Sage
- Xero
- QuickBooks
- Pastel
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
