Brake Press Operator

Arrow Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of machine operations, brake press tooling, and blueprint reading. Pay Rate - $22/hr

Location - Airdrie, AB

Shift Time - Monday to Friday-4 pm to 2 am

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently, following all safety procedures and using provided safety guards.
• Follow ISO9001:2015/EQS quality procedures and work instructions.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety responsibilities as outlined in the MESH program.
• Identify and report workplace hazards, incidents, injuries, and near misses immediately.
• Use equipment and PPE properly, only after successful training.
• Support and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ELSS tools implementation.
• Act as a role model for safety, quality, and productivity.
• Participate in cost and process improvement programs by recommending better ways to work.
• Troubleshoot machine-related issues on the shop floor.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with brake press operations and machine changeovers.
• Strong knowledge of machine tooling, bend sequences, and setup parameters.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, bend drawings, and layout drawings.
• Proficient in using computers and various types of software in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
