Interwaste, a leader in waste management solutions across Southern Africa, is seeking a seasoned Brand and Marketing Coordinator to join our team at the Germiston branch.

Role Overview

The successful incumbent will be required to plan and coordinate Interwaste’s marketing, brand and communication activities across South Africa and selected African markets. The incumbent will be responsible and oversee, PR, digital, and design agencies, while aligning with Seche Environmental group standards.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Coordination and Campaign Delivery

  • Support the implementation of the annual marketing plan and campaign calendar
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder inputs
  • Ensure campaigns are clearly scoped, briefed, and tracked from initiation through to completion
  • Align messaging across Sales, Operations, HR, SHEQ, Technical, and Sustainability teams
  • Identify risks or delays and escalate where required

Agency and Supplier Management

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for PR, digital and design agencies
  • Develop clear and structured briefs for campaigns, content, and creative outputs
  • Manage feedback and approval processes between internal stakeholders and agencies
  • Ensure all outputs meet Interwaste’s brand standards and business requirements
  • Monitor delivery timelines and ensure accountability across all suppliers

Brand Governance and Quality Control

  • Support the consistent application of Interwaste’s brand identity across all materials
  • Review marketing outputs prior to release to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment
  • Maintain and distribute approved templates, assets, and brand guidelines
  • Support internal teams in applying brand standards correctly

Marketing Collateral and Content Coordination

  • Coordinate the development of marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, internal communications, and sales tools
  • Work with agencies and suppliers to produce high-quality, on-brand collateral
  • Ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and aligned to business messaging
  • Maintain a central repository of approved marketing materials

Event Coordination and Brand Activation

  • Support the planning and coordination of internal and external events, including expos and site visits
  • Liaise with suppliers for branding, collateral and event requirements

Digital and Website Coordination

  • Work with the digital agency to manage website updates, campaign content, and blog uploads
  • Coordinate social media content in line with campaign messaging

Sustainability and ESG Communication Support

  • Support the coordination of sustainability and environmental communication initiatives

Budget and Reporting Support

  • Track marketing spend across campaigns, suppliers, and activities

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and basic performance metrics
  • Good understanding of marketing campaigns and brand management principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and quality control
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience within industrial, environmental, waste management, or related B2B sectors
  • Exposure to operational or site-based environments
  • Experience supporting internal communications across multiple locations, working with different functions and managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with sustainability or ESG-related communication

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field
  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in a Marketing, Communications, or Coordination role
