We have a minty-fresh in-office opportunity for a Mid-weight Brand Manager to work on fantastic FMCG Oral Care brand at a dynamic FMCG company in Cape Town.
We’re looking for a talented, creative & experienced Brand Manager with a passion for Brands to manage a portfolio of oral care brands through Retail & Professional channels, with a strong focus on FMCG/Retail.
The position requires a strategically minded, hands-on approach with strong multi-tasking and problem-solving ability. Communication to all stakeholders: suppliers, internal, sales team, key accounts, agencies etc. is key in this role. National Key Accounts management is a focus of this role.

Responsibilities
Brand Management for all Retail Brands
• Relationship management with suppliers
• Forecasting (in collaboration with procurement) & reporting to suppliers
• All product training
• Competitor research
• Competitive / profitable pricing strategy
• Marketing strategy & budget
• Marketing plan roll-out & management incl.: PR, social media, in-store promo etc.
• All marketing material
• New product launches & packaging development
• All specials (in collaboration with Sales).
Key Accounts Management of all Retail Channels
• Relationship management with all key retail accounts
• Deal/trade discounts, and profitability of each key account
• Store ranging & pricing strategy & management
• POS & in-store visibility
• Training for all retail staff
• In-store promo plan: strategy, budget, roll-out, reporting (in collaboration with Sales)
• SOH management (in collaboration with Sales)
• Extending current retail footprint & extension to new retail accounts.
• Regular communication to professional channel.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
• Business or Marketing-related Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
• Technical consumer and professional marketing skills
• At least 3 -4 years broad-based marketing experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience at Brand Manager/Key account manager level
• Proven experience in POS & in-store promo development
• Experience with consumer and shopper market research
• Experience with relevant software applications
• Thorough understanding of the Retail/Wholesale Industry
• Strong advertising savvy
• Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Superb interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Self-motivated, hardworking & tenacious
• Creative flair
• Own transport.
