Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Brand Manager to lead the strategic development and successful launch of new products within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. This is a critical on-site role, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for defining brand positioning, crafting compelling marketing strategies, and overseeing the execution of all launch activities to ensure market penetration and sustained growth. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and the FMCG landscape, coupled with strong analytical, creative, and leadership skills. You will manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to post-launch evaluation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for new product launches, including positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans.
- Conduct in-depth market research, consumer insights analysis, and competitive landscape assessments.
- Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to ensure product development aligns with market needs and business objectives.
- Develop and manage integrated marketing communication plans across all relevant channels (advertising, digital, social media, PR, in-store promotions).
- Oversee the creation of marketing collateral and creative assets, ensuring brand consistency and impact.
- Manage the product's P&L, setting pricing strategies and monitoring financial performance.
- Analyze sales data, market share, and campaign effectiveness to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies and partners.
- Present brand strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead and inspire a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the FMCG market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in brand management, product marketing, or a similar role within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer brands.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, market research methodologies, and financial analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and marketing analytics tools.
- Creative thinking with a strong ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with (Specific FMCG Category, e.g., Food & Beverage, Personal Care) is a significant advantage.
This role requires your presence in Jos, Plateau, NG to effectively collaborate with local teams and drive brand success.
