Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Building Engineer/Operator located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Building Engineer/Operator will perform daily maintenance and repair tasks, manage and support facility operations, and ensure preventive maintenance is conducted effectively. Responsibilities also include tenant/customer services and implementing solutions to maintain optimal building functionality.
Qualifications
- Experience in Building Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair, and Preventive Maintenance
- Knowledge in MEP and Facility Management (FM) practices
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to property infrastructure
- Ability to work on-site and respond to real-time facility and customer needs and emergencies
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Relevant certifications or licenses in facility management or technical trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) are a plus
- Prior experience in building systems within the real estate or commercial property sector is advantageous
