Business Analyst

Company Overview

GovCIO is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will analyze processes and systems, assess the business model, and ensure its seamless integration with technology.

Position Overview

This is a fully remote position with core hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET. You will collaborate with both business and technology teams, determining system requirements and providing technical expertise to enhance our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with teams to ascertain system requirements, including program functions and output needs.
• Serve as a functional expert in financial, program control, or logistical areas.
• Facilitate meetings and Scrum ceremonies, fostering collaboration and self-organization among teams.
• Coach Scrum teams on adopting and implementing the Scrum framework effectively.
• Create and manage risks in Jira, working proactively to mitigate and resolve potential issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to enhance communication, manage backlogs, and schedule sprint reviews.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to assess business and technical processes for system improvements.
• Develop training materials and assist in their presentation to team members.
• Contribute to validation and testing of application functionalities to ensure they meet acceptance criteria.
• Act as an interface between solutions architects, developers, and users to ensure effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is a must.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Suitability of Public Trust clearance.
• Familiarity with Jira for managing product and sprint backlogs.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform technologies and SharePoint is preferred.
• Certified Scrum Master is a plus.

Salary Range

USD $81,850.00 - USD $95,000.00 /Yr.
