Duties

  • Responsible for budget formulation, execution, allocation, and monitoring the use of resources to support the goals and objectives of the Strategic and Business Plans of the activity.
  • Provides guidance regarding financial implications of program proposals.
  • Analyzes financial data from the proprietary and budgetary accounts for their organization that satisfy internal management and external mandatory/legislative requirements.

  • Receives, validates, and accepts funding documents as well as creates and maintains the associated reimbursable internal orders.
  • Facilitates the end-to-end business cycle design as fully synchronized with DLA’s continually evolving strategic direction and transformation programs.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Business Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:

  • Serving as a primary expert budget facilitator, ensuring the execution of the budget meets the requirements of their organization or functional area.
  • Analyzing financial data from the proprietary and budgetary accounts for their organization that satisfy internal management and external mandatory/legislative requirements.
  • Identifying system issues, process, cross process, or other deficiencies and reports them to the site Finance Business Process Analyst.
  • Serving as the primary expert business analyst, receiving validating, and accepting funding documents as well as creating and maintaining the associated reimbursable internal orders.
  • Analyzing, consolidating, and communicating financial performance results and financial/business performance recommendations to management.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
