About the Role
Stratospherec is recruiting a Business Analyst for a leading Family‑Centred Services organisation in Birmingham. You’ll join a dynamic Programme & Project Management team that drives digital transformation, improves services for families and young people, and delivers real social impact.
The role is hybrid – 2‑3 days a week in the client’s centrally‑located Birmingham office (excellent rail and transport links).
What You’ll Do
- Elicit & Analyse Requirements – run workshops, interviews and prototyping sessions across the full project lifecycle.
- Document Solutions – produce functional & non‑functional specs, user stories, epics, acceptance criteria and other artefacts.
- Support Delivery – work hand‑in‑hand with Agile/Scrum teams, PMs and developers; maintain product backlogs and help manage scope changes.
- Testing & Readiness – assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), business readiness activities and post‑go‑live support.
- Process Improvement – map, model and optimise business processes (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, BPMN).
- Compliance – ensure all work meets regulatory conduct rules and internal governance standards.
- Stakeholder Management – build strong relationships, influence decisions and keep all parties informed.
Who You Are

| Experience | 3‑5+ years as a Business Analyst (commercial environment). |
| Education | Degree‑level or equivalent; strong maths & English skills. |
| Methodologies | Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery experience. |
| Tools | O365 (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook); process‑mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io); familiar with BPMN. |
| Documentation | Proven ability to write clear functional specs, user stories, and test artefacts. |
| Stakeholder Skills | Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building abilities. |
| Qualifications | BA/BSc in a relevant field; industry‑recognised BA certifications (e.g., IIBA ECBA/CCBA, BCS) are a plus. |
| Personal Traits | Self‑starter, collaborative, thrives in fast‑paced project environments. |
