Role Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in Life Insurance| specifically Term Life and Final Expense (FE) products. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between Business| Actuarial| and Technology teams to gather requirements| translate business needs into system specifications| and support end to end policy lifecycle initiatives while enabling digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across underwriting, policy issuance, and servicing workflows
- Collaborate closely with actuarial teams to translate product rules, pricing structures, and risk factors into system requirements
- Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, and QA teams to deliver customer‑centric digital experiences
- Create and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlogs in JIRA
- Maintain clear and structured documentation in Confluence
- Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, and walkthrough sessions
- Support UAT activities, validate business scenarios, and ensure alignment with expected outcomes
- Identify process improvement opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce cycle time

- Strong, hands‑on experience with Final Expense (FE) products, including:
- Guaranteed eligibility rules
- Graded benefits and waiting period logic
- Face amount limits, age bands, and underwriting tiers
- Premium calculation factors and rate class variations
- Application flows, disclosures, and replacement considerations
- Guaranteed Issue and Simplified Issue product structures
- Solid understanding of Term Life products and underwriting processes
- Experience working with actuarial concepts, including:
- Mortality assumptions
- Pricing inputs
- Rule implementation
- Ability to translate FE product design into system requirements, decision rules, and end‑to‑end workflows
- Hands‑on experience with JIRA (user stories, backlog management) and Confluence (documentation and traceability)
