About the Opportunity
Olade Consulting is supporting an upcoming procurement initiative for the Digital Health Division of NL Health Services related to a large portfolio of healthcare technology and transformation projects.
We are seeking experienced Business Analyst Consultants to support digital health initiatives, system implementations, workflow modernization, stakeholder engagement, testing activities, and operational transformation efforts across various healthcare projects.
This engagement is ideal for professionals with strong experience in business analysis, healthcare technology environments, systems implementation, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration.
Successful consultants will work alongside project teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, and technical resources to help drive project delivery, improve workflows, and support healthcare system modernization initiatives.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst Consultant will play a key role in analyzing business and technical requirements, supporting system implementations, documenting workflows, facilitating stakeholder discussions, coordinating testing activities, and contributing to successful project execution across digital health initiatives.
Consultants may support multiple initiatives depending on project requirements and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Analyze business operations, workflows, and technical requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders, subject matter experts, operational teams, and vendors to gather and document requirements
- Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
- Develop detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), business cases, and use cases
- Conduct feasibility assessments and fit/gap analyses
Workflow & Process Improvement
- Analyze current-state and future-state workflows
- Develop workflow diagrams and process documentation
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, process optimization, and improved service delivery
- Support system and software integration analysis
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
- Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, stakeholder meetings, and testing sessions
- Engage with clinical, operational, business, and technical stakeholders
- Communicate complex technical and business information clearly to diverse audiences
- Document meeting outcomes, decisions, and action items
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Support development of:
- Test strategies
- Test plans
- Test cases
- Test execution plans
- Testing status reports
- Coordinate and support:
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Work collaboratively with vendors and end users to validate system functionality and business requirements
Project & Implementation Support
- Assist Project Managers with:
- Scope management
- Risk management
- Issue tracking
- Project coordination activities
- Support deployment planning and transition activities
- Contribute to implementation planning and execution
- Assist with change management, communication planning, and training activities
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure alignment with Digital Health governance standards
- Support privacy, security, and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate documentation and project records

Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Business
- Information Technology
- Health Informatics
- Or a related discipline
- Equivalent experience will also be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in:
- Business Analysis
- Project delivery
- Systems implementation
- Digital transformation initiatives
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Business analysis methodologies
- Requirements gathering techniques
- Workflow analysis
- Process mapping
- Testing methodologies
- Experience supporting software/system implementations
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Visio
- PowerPoint
- MS Project
- Experience with healthcare information systems is strongly preferred
- Experience with HL7 or healthcare integrations is considered an asset

Work Environment
- Primarily remote engagement
- Consultants must be available during:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Newfoundland Standard Time
- Allocation may vary between:
- 50%–100%
- Depending on project requirements
- Multiple projects and assignments may be available throughout the contract term
Pay
$60.00-$100.00 per hour
