About the role
Role Overview
Business Analyst supporting the Data Office (CDO function) with a primary focus on Data Privacy & Protection.
The role involves implementing and maintaining data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and working closely with business, technology, and risk stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Privacy & Compliance
- Support development and maintenance of data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Perform Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
- Maintain data processing inventory (collection, storage, sharing of personal data)
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations across business functions
- Identify privacy risks (including third‑party/vendor risks) and recommend mitigations
Governance & Framework Implementation
- Contribute to Data Office framework execution and governance
- Ensure proper documentation, controls, and process adherence
- Support integration of privacy practices across business and technology teams
Training & Awareness
- Deliver privacy training sessions
- Promote data privacy awareness and best practices
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with business, IT, compliance, and data teams
- Support senior management reporting and presentations
Must‑Have Requirements
- 5–7+ years experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong experience in:
- Data Privacy / Data Governance
- Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA)
- Data processing / data inventory documentation
- Regulatory / compliance environments
- Strong skills in:
- Process analysis & documentation
- Stakeholder management
- PowerPoint / Excel (data + presentations)
Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience in:
- Data management / data quality frameworks
- Risk & controls / audit
- Financial services / banking environment
- Exposure to data lineage, data dictionary, or governance frameworks
