Business Analyst – Finance Domain (Core Banking & VAT)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the finance domain, particularly in core banking systems and VAT-related processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging business requirements with technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration between core banking applications and supporting systems.

Experience in VAT calculation and e-invoicing in the UAE region is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to finance operations, VAT processing, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams to define and validate business rules and workflows.
• Support integration efforts between core banking systems (e.g., Finacle, Flexcube) and sub-systems such as GL, CRM, and payment platforms.
• Conduct gap analysis and propose solutions to improve reconciliation processes, especially around general ledger entries.
• Assist in the design and implementation of VAT automation and e-invoicing solutions in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Develop functional specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
• Participate in UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Monitor and report on project KPIs including reconciliation accuracy, and VAT compliance.
• Provide post-implementation support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services domain.
• Hands-on experience with core banking platforms such as Finacle and Flexcube.
• Strong understanding of system integration between core banking and sub-systems.
• Experience in general ledger reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of VAT calculation methodologies in the UAE.
• Experience with VAT e-invoicing platforms and compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
