Role: Business Analyst – Financial Accounting (Income Tax, Business Tax, Real Property Tax)
Location: Hybrid in Washington, DC (Onsite interview)

Develop and maintain an understanding of key business processes and policies; assist business units with process improvements and resolve system issues to ensure timely processing of transactions.
Track current software trends and recommend upgrades or replacements of production systems to leverage improved functionality.
Gather requirements for new or existing systems; act as a consultant on software evaluation; serve as an analyst on the implementation team performing fit/gap analysis, system configuration, establishing a requirements traceability matrix (RTM), creating test cases, and ensuring all requirements are tested prior to go‑live; collaborate with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to confirm the system meets the District’s needs.
Document interface control documents (ICD) for system interfaces; document re‑engineered business processes; identify and document IT roles and responsibilities for maintaining the new system after implementation.
Provide input into project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Assist in developing project proposals, financial planning, and business case creation, including cost/benefit analysis.
Attend required training and perform routine administrative responsibilities.
