Business Analyst – Front Office Trading Systems

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team supporting front-office trading technology initiatives across Global Macro, Equities, Securities Financing, and Credit businesses. This role focuses on algorithmic trading platforms, real-time trading applications, and in-house trade execution systems within a fast-paced capital markets environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong front-office experience, hands-on exposure to trade execution platforms, and a solid understanding of equities and securities financing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with front-office business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for trading systems and real-time applications
• Support enhancements and optimization of algorithmic trading and execution platforms
• Work closely with development teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications and use cases
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for operational and technological improvements
• Facilitate communication between business users, technology teams, and global stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery
• Conduct data analysis to support trading workflows, execution strategies, and business decision-making
• Participate in testing, validation, and UAT activities for new features and system enhancements
• Provide production support and user assistance for trading applications as needed
• Collaborate with international teams on global trading technology initiatives
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and status discussions

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience as a Business Analyst within investment banking or financial services
• Strong front-office experience supporting trading desks or trade execution platforms
• Experience working on in-house trade execution systems or electronic trading applications
• Good understanding of Global Securities Financing and Equities markets
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading and real-time trading environments
• Experience with trading platforms such as Fidessa, Horizon Trading Solutions, Dash Financials, Bloomberg EMSX, or ION
• Strong knowledge of FIX messaging protocols
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting equities or securities lending trading desks
• Exposure to low-latency or real-time trading systems
• Knowledge of front-office order management and execution workflows
• Experience working in global enterprise trading environments
