About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our international team and support ongoing projects for Swiss and European banking clients in the area of regulatory reporting. The selected candidate will serve as a key point of contact for German-speaking clients and counterparts, managing day-to-day communication on Swiss and EU regulatory matters. On the content and technical side, the candidate will be fully supported by a senior colleague from our Regulatory Reporting team, who will provide guidance and oversight across all reporting obligations, including frameworks such as FINFRAG and EMIR, covering the full reporting lifecycle from data collection through to submission and compliance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Client Communication & Stakeholder Management

    • Act as the primary communication interface with German-speaking clients and banking counterparts on Swiss and EU regulatory reporting matters
    • Liaise professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders in Italian and German, ensuring clarity and consistency in all exchanges
    • Support the preparation of client-facing materials, status updates, and operational documentation in both languages
  • Reporting & Operations Support

    • Assist in data collection, validation, and quality checks on regulatory reports under the guidance of the senior Regulatory Reporting analyst
    • Contribute to reconciliation activities and monitoring of automated batch processes across the reporting lifecycle
    • Support error handling procedures including root cause analysis and corrective actions across submission cycles
  • Analysis & Continuous Improvement

    • Assist in compliance monitoring activities for applicable Swiss and EU regulatory frameworks
    • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of internal procedures, process documentation, and knowledge transfer materials
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives alongside the senior team, supporting onboarding activities and operational optimisation efforts

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Management Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline

Required Skills

  • Italian fluent, native or bilingual level, mandatory
  • German fluent, native or bilingual level, mandatory
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Basic familiarity with business analysis methodologies and structured analytical thinking
  • Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Interest in the banking or financial services sector and regulatory environments
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
  • Problem-solving mindset with a collaborative and proactive attitude
  • No previous work experience required, internships in banking, consulting, or client-facing roles will be considered a plus
