About the Job

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Financial Business Analyst to support the design, development, and optimization of custom financial systems. This role bridges finance and technology, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into functional system solutions that enhance financial reporting, planning, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with finance stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for custom financial systems.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with developers, system architects, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of financial modules (e.g., GL, AP/AR, budgeting, grants, forecasting).
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure system accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop test plans, execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and document results.
  • Create user documentation, training materials, and provide end‑user support.
  • Assist in system integrations with other enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, data warehouses).
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, data security and audit requirements.
