About Us

We are looking for a personality with in-depth knowledge of the retail sector and confident handling of Point of Sale (POS) systems.

As a Business Analyst POS Systems at GLOBUS, you will share responsibility for the operation and further development of our POS systems. You will work closely with business, IT, and external partners, reporting directly to the Head of POS Applications. Our goal is to integrate the existing POS systems from retail, gastronomy, and e-commerce into a unified solution.

Your tasks include project implementation, support for smaller initiatives, and ensuring ongoing operations. In line with the DevOps approach, you will accompany projects from initial analysis to rollout, remaining flexible enough to respond to new requirements and develop pragmatic solutions. Your ability to communicate openly and clearly with various stakeholders is central.

Your Impact

Operations and Support

  • You will take over application responsibility and operational support in the POS environment, primarily in the areas of POS, scales, and EFT.
  • You will advise and support our users and are responsible for 1st Level Support: receiving and resolving error messages and user problems, also in collaboration with our external service providers for 2nd Level Support.
  • You act as a link between Business, IT, and Providers.
  • You will create and maintain process flows as well as operational documentation.

Projects / Further Development

  • You will support us in the implementation of POS projects (from feasibility study to introduction).
  • You will participate in POS projects and in Change and Release Management (Business Analysis, Specification, Cost Analysis, Testing, Piloting, Rollout, etc.).

What Sets You Apart

  • You have completed an education in IT or retail with further training in the IT sector (HF or FH, e.g., Business Informatics).
  • You possess expertise and experience in the POS and SAP environment, preferably in trade/retail (SAP Retail), as well as in Business Analysis and Requirements Engineering.
  • You have a quick grasp of things and bring a high degree of initiative and responsibility.
  • You are an open personality with good communication skills.
  • You approach work in a structured and analytical manner.
  • You are willing to perform on-call duty or weekend work occasionally.
  • You are a team player with above-average commitment and flexibility in a very dynamic environment.
  • You have fluent German and good French language skills.
