Business Analyst (m/w/d) – Finance / Tax / Process
Location: Erlangen Employment Type: Full-time
The position is predominantly remote (approx. 80% hybrid model) with a preferred location in the vicinity of Berlin, Erlangen, or Stuttgart.

Your Responsibilities
Interface Business, Procurement & IT
- Gathering, structuring, and prioritizing functional requirements from various departments
- Translating business requirements into actionable specifications for IT and procurement
- Coordination and alignment with internal stakeholders and external partners
Process Analysis & Optimization
- Analysis of procurement and business processes and identification of optimization potentials
- Documentation of current and target processes
- Development of concrete measures for standardization and efficiency improvement
Project Management & Implementation
- Support of cross-departmental projects
- Preparation and moderation of workshops and coordination meetings
- Management of milestones, risks, and project communication
Consulting & Stakeholder Management
- Advising departments on processes, tools, and requirements
- Creation of decision-making bases (e.g., business cases, analyses)
- Ensuring effective collaboration between business, IT, procurement, and finance
Tax & Compliance Support
- Consideration of tax requirements in processes and projects
- Coordination with finance/tax teams or external consultants
- Support with documentation and adherence to compliance regulations
What You Bring
Qualifications
- Completed degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Consultant, Project Manager, or in a comparable interface role
- Experience in collaborating with procurement, business/operations, IT, and finance
- Good knowledge of classic and/or agile project management
- Understanding of tax-related topics in a corporate context (e.g., VAT, invoicing logic, compliance requirements)
IT Skills
- Very good understanding of business processes and IT systems
- Experience with ERP, procurement, or finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is an advantage
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and common collaboration tools
- Experience with reporting, data analysis, and process documentation
- Knowledge of project and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Asana, MS Project) is an advantage
